Our Story
Kinkel Jewellery brings creative, whimsical designs to life, drawing inspiration from nature and the intricate patterns of the world around us. Each unique piece is lovingly handcrafted by Marleen van Wyk, the owner and founder, in her Cape Town studio.
A vibrant and ambitious designer from Simonโs Town, Marleen has always been passionate about jewellery and the creative arts. After earning her degree in Jewellery Design from Stellenbosch University in 2011, she expanded her skills with a 6-month design course at the Pforzheim Design School in Germany. There, she mastered exciting techniques that enriched her design approach. Inspired by her travels across Europe, Marleen returned to South Africa to further hone her craft, completing a two-year Goldsmith Internship to perfect her technical abilities. This fusion of artistry and precision led to the creation of Kinkel Jewellery.
Drawing from the rich fauna and flora of South Africa, Marleenโs goal is to craft elegant, timeless pieces that reflect the beauty of nature. With meticulous craftsmanship, Kinkel Jewellery transforms each design into a wearable work of art for everyone to enjoy.
